The LEARN TO PLAY HOCKEY program, formerly known as the RECREATIONAL LEAGUE is an introductory program that allows new players to learn to play hockey in a low stress instructional environment with a low time and money commitment. Participants can build skills and confidence in this 6 week program to prepare them for the travel program, if that is their desire.
Open to boys and girls, ages 7-10 (Birth Years 2011-2008)
(Boys and girls with a birth year of 2012 & younger are encouraged to join the Mini Mite(6U) program. No USA Hockey fee is needed and is a similar development program to Learn to Play. If older than 2008, please contact the "Rec League" Coordinator)
2019 Winter Session: (Schedule)
Arrive by 30 minutes before ice time to dress in equipment.
Each 1 hour session will be led by USA Hockey certified coaches.
Lakes Area Hockey will provide (at the first session on Oct. 7th; socks, stick, and a practice jersey for the participant to keep)

Registration numbers are limited to 15 participants. Once 15 participants have registered, a waiting list will be created.
Cost: $30 + $50 USA Hockey Fee*
(*If you participated in Learn to Play Fall 2018 session, you do not have to pay the USA Hockey Fee a 2nd time)
The Boji Bay Ice Arena is volunteer run organization that strives to provide affordable activities during the winter season.
Participation in volunteer opportunities and fundraising are welcome but are optional for Learn to Play families.
